The Ceylon Cooperative Total Operations Center has taken steps to reduce the price of rice and pulses in order to be effective from today.
Accordingly, a kilogram of samba shops will be sold for 78 rupees a kilogram of rice and one kilogram natrici 74 rupees.
The officials of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce announced these issues at a media briefing held in Colombo.
Meanwhile, a kilogram of pulses has been reduced to 148 rupees, said Lak Sathosa.
The Ministry has announced that rice and nuts will be sold at all semi-retail centers at new prices.
