The US has approved the sale of the Thaad missile defense system to Saudi Arabia, the modern rocket security apparatus of the United States.
The US $ 15 billion worth of trade agreement has promoted US national security and foreign policy interests.
The announcement came just days after Saudi Arabia agreed to buy air defense systems from Russia.
The Pentagon's Defense Cooperation Agency, the headquarters of the US forces, said the deal would not change the military balance that region would have.
America's "Thought" missile systems are being set up in South Korea to provide protection against missile strikes that are expected to be carried out by North Korea.
But many South Koreans have opposed it. People are protesting because of the fear that the lives of the people living nearby will be at risk because the places fitted to this system are targeted.
China also opposed the establishment of the Tad missile defense system in South Korea, saying it would affect regional security balance.
